每年三月的第一個(gè)周四是英國(guó)的“世界讀書(shū)日”。今年哈羅深圳國(guó)際學(xué)校以“插畫(huà)的魅力”為主題，對(duì)讀書(shū)日進(jìn)行了延伸和拓展，給同學(xué)們帶來(lái)了一個(gè)奇趣、生動(dòng)、充滿智慧的讀書(shū)周。

“歡迎加入我們的讀書(shū)周！讀書(shū)周是激動(dòng)人心、充滿樂(lè)趣的一周，其涵蓋了與閱讀、文學(xué)和寫作有關(guān)的許多內(nèi)容。

今年讀書(shū)周的主題是“插畫(huà)的魅力”。 該主題所涉及的范圍很廣泛，因此，學(xué)生可以借此機(jī)會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)和探索各種令人興奮的新書(shū)，當(dāng)然也可以是大家喜愛(ài)的舊書(shū)。”

I. 插畫(huà)的魅力

我們邀請(qǐng)到了作者兼插畫(huà)家 Trevor Lai 先生來(lái)學(xué)校與各年級(jí)的同學(xué)們交流、互動(dòng)。

- 賴嘉晟 -

賴嘉晟 (Trevor Lai) 是一位備受嘉獎(jiǎng)的作家、插畫(huà)家和企業(yè)家，由他創(chuàng)立的上游動(dòng)漫 (Up Studios) 是目前國(guó)內(nèi)著名的原創(chuàng)動(dòng)漫公司。他是《超級(jí)小熊布迷》、《紅眼鏡豬豬》等多部?jī)?yōu)秀兒童圖書(shū)的創(chuàng)作者，同時(shí)，他還是《超級(jí)小熊布迷》系列動(dòng)畫(huà)片的總導(dǎo)演與執(zhí)行制片人。

在賴先生與同學(xué)們的互動(dòng)課堂上，他向我們講述了閱讀于他的魅力，以及書(shū)籍對(duì)他的積極影響。他為我們選讀了他寫的故事，還一起觀看了他制作的動(dòng)畫(huà)！賴先生嫻熟地用筆勾勒出可愛(ài)的卡通人物，讓滿臉驚喜的同學(xué)們看到了插畫(huà)的魅力、體驗(yàn)了插畫(huà)創(chuàng)作的樂(lè)趣。

The UK celebrates "World Book Day" on the first Thursday of March every year.The Book Week theme this year is "The Magic of Illustrations". Through which, we hope to have brought knowledge, fun and liveliness to the students.

“Welcome to HIS Shenzhen’s Book Week! Book Week encompasses everything to do with reading, literacy, writing, and drama in an exciting, fun-filled week.

This year our Book Week theme is ‘The Magic of Illustrations’. This theme is wide-ranging so students can discover and explore new, exciting books, as well as old favourites.”

I. Illustrator"s visit

We were very excited to have author/illustrator Mr Trevor Lai with us on World Book Day.

- Trevor Lai -

Trevor Lai is an award-winning entrepreneur, author-illustrator, director and the founder of Up Studios, one of the leading animation studios in China. Trevor has written and illustrated over 30 children’s books, including the Piggy and Tomo series. Trevor also created the Super BOOMi television series.

During Mr Lai’s engaging classes, he told us about the charm of reading and the positive impact of books on him. He read some of the stories he wrote and we watched the animations he made! Amazed by Mr Lai’s skilful cartoon illustrations, students got to understand how an author and illustrator creates his work.

Our Book Week finale saw everyone dressed up as our favourite book characters.

Students and parents were also invited to join a special "Mad Hatter"s Tea Party". During this Alice in Wonderland-themed event, participants enjoyed a Book Week Catwalk, craft and tea party.

This is our biggest seasonal event open to all public. From the Early Years Centre to Year 11, you will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our School Head, teachers, parent representatives and students. Our Harrovians will tour you around the campus and visit our classes, which which you will experience our campus life in an all-round and immersive way!
