以運(yùn)動(dòng)促進(jìn)德育,用活動(dòng)挖掘潛能。上海美達(dá)菲學(xué)校一直以來(lái)非常重視學(xué)生體能與智能的雙向培養(yǎng)。在剛剛過(guò)去的前兩周里,學(xué)校舉辦了兩場(chǎng)別具一格的校園文化活動(dòng):圣華紫竹學(xué)院的足球交流賽以及一年一度的數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng),讓學(xué)生在草地上感受春日的激情澎拜,在符號(hào)中延伸數(shù)學(xué)思維的觸角,發(fā)展自己的多元才能。
Promote moral education with sports, explore potential with activities. Shanghai MacDuffie School has always attached great importance to the two-way training of students" physical ability and intelligence.In the past two weeks, the school has held two unique campus cultural activities: the football exchange match with Shenghua Zizhu Academy and the annual Math Day activity, allowing students to feel the passion of spring on the grass, extend the tentacles of mathematical thinking in symbols, and develop their diverse talents.

數(shù)學(xué)是除了語(yǔ)言與音樂(lè)之外,人類(lèi)心靈自由創(chuàng)造力的主要表達(dá)方式之一。每年的3月14日是國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)日。在這一天,上海美達(dá)菲學(xué)校通過(guò)開(kāi)展數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng),為發(fā)展學(xué)生的數(shù)學(xué)思維與學(xué)習(xí)興趣,營(yíng)造積極活躍的數(shù)學(xué)文化氛圍提供了一個(gè)良好的平臺(tái)。
Besides language and music,mathematicsis one of the main ways to express the free creativity of human mind. March 14 is International Mathematics Day. On this day, Shanghai MacDuffie School carries out Mathematics Day activities,which provides a good platform for developing students" mathematical thinking and learning interest, and creating a positive and active mathematical cultural atmosphere.
在數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng)中,學(xué)生們用手抄報(bào)詮釋對(duì)于數(shù)學(xué)的理解,以海報(bào)展現(xiàn)數(shù)學(xué)符號(hào)的魅力,更在知識(shí)競(jìng)賽問(wèn)答中感受智慧的碰撞與交鋒。在本次數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng)中,為每個(gè)上海美達(dá)菲學(xué)子心中播下一顆興趣的種子,近距離體會(huì)數(shù)學(xué)的奧妙。
In the Math Day activity, students copied newspapers to explain their understanding of mathematics, showed the charm of mathematical symbols with posters, and felt the collision and confrontation of wisdom in thequiz. This Math Day activity sows a seed of interest for every Shanghai MacDuffie students to understand the mystery of mathematics.

設(shè)計(jì)理念:介紹了一位我最喜歡的數(shù)學(xué)家--勒內(nèi)·笛卡爾。他被成為業(yè)余數(shù)學(xué)家之王,不僅僅是數(shù)學(xué),笛卡爾還精通哲學(xué)、物理學(xué)、天文學(xué)等領(lǐng)域,是一位博學(xué)多才的學(xué)者。手抄報(bào)上我畫(huà)了笛卡爾臨死之前送給公主的情書(shū)---愛(ài)心函數(shù)曲線,被譽(yù)為“理工男的浪漫”。
This is an introduction to one of my favorite mathematicians, Rene Descartes. He is known as the kin of amateur mathematicians, not only mathematics, Descartes also proficient in philosophy, physics, astronomy and other fields,who was a polymathscholar. I drew the love letter Descartes sent to the princess before his death - love function curve, known as "the romance of the science boy".

Thishandwritten newspaper mainly introduces themathematical achievements and research fields of Gauss, the prince of mathematics, highlighting Gauss"s contribution to the mathematical field andpaying tribute to a great mathematician.

設(shè)計(jì)理念:手抄報(bào)內(nèi)容是介紹偉大的數(shù)學(xué)家“畢達(dá)哥拉斯”的故事,采用素描的方式繪畫(huà)畢達(dá)哥拉斯的頭像,意圖致敬偉大的數(shù)學(xué)家。
This handwritten newspaper introduces the story of the great mathematician "Pythagoras". The head of Pythagoras is painted by sketching, with the intention of paying tribute to the great mathematician.

設(shè)計(jì)理念:書(shū)山有路勤為徑,學(xué)海無(wú)涯苦作舟。將藍(lán)色海洋作為文化節(jié)標(biāo)志的底色,這意味著無(wú)邊無(wú)際、無(wú)止境的學(xué)習(xí)海洋,代表著沉著,冷靜和睿智,少年在海上乘風(fēng)破浪,意味著不停地思考,勇于挑戰(zhàn)!
The design concept of this poster is: Diligence is the path to the mountain of knowledge, hard-working is the boat to the endless sea of learning.The blue ocean is taken as the background color of the cultural festival logo, which means boundless and endless learning ocean, representing calm,cool-headed and wise;young people riding the wind and waves in the sea, means constantly thinking, dare to challenge!

設(shè)計(jì)理念:本次設(shè)計(jì)是以數(shù)學(xué)日為主題進(jìn)行的海報(bào)設(shè)計(jì),書(shū)本是以拼圖為創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)的,以數(shù)字元素的幾何形式為封面的設(shè)計(jì)元素進(jìn)行設(shè)計(jì),以此來(lái)增加書(shū)本的創(chuàng)造性;海報(bào)中提及了阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字的來(lái)源以及數(shù)學(xué)歷史,能夠讓大眾更簡(jiǎn)單明了的了解關(guān)于數(shù)學(xué)的知識(shí)。整張海報(bào)以圖畫(huà)為主,文字為次,是想通過(guò)圖畫(huà)的設(shè)計(jì)來(lái)傳遞數(shù)學(xué)文化。
In this poster design with the theme of math Day, the book is designed with picture puzzle as the creative design, and the geometric form of digitalelements as the design elements of the cover,so as to increase the creativity of the book. The poster mentions the origin of Arabic numerals and the history of mathematics, which can make the public understand the knowledge of mathematics more simple and clear.The whole poster focuses on pictures and words are secondary, which is intended to convey mathematical culture through the design of pictures.

除了學(xué)生的手抄報(bào)以及海報(bào)設(shè)計(jì)以外,接下來(lái)的知識(shí)競(jìng)賽問(wèn)答是本次數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng)最精彩的環(huán)節(jié)。同學(xué)們?cè)谥R(shí)的碰撞與交鋒之中,一起感受數(shù)學(xué)思維的奧妙與樂(lè)趣。
In addition to the students" handwrittennewspaper and poster design, the following quiz was the most exciting part of this math Day activity. Students experience the mystery and fun of mathematical thinkingtogether in the collision and confrontation of knowledge.
整場(chǎng)競(jìng)賽活動(dòng)分為必答題、搶答題、 挑戰(zhàn)題三個(gè)部分,學(xué)生將分成不同的隊(duì)伍參賽,進(jìn)行多個(gè)回合的交鋒與碰撞,最終得出一二三等獎(jiǎng)作為激勵(lì)。
The whole competition is divided into three parts: required questions, quick answer questions and challenge questions. Students will be divided into different teams to participate in the competition, and conduct multiple rounds of confrontation and collision, and finally get the first, second and third prizes as incentives.
早在比賽開(kāi)始前,同學(xué)們就已經(jīng)做好了充足的知識(shí)準(zhǔn)備,大家信心滿(mǎn)滿(mǎn),各個(gè)嚴(yán)陣以待。在問(wèn)答環(huán)節(jié),同學(xué)們爭(zhēng)相搶答,現(xiàn)場(chǎng)氣氛異常熱烈。
Early in the competition, the students have done enough knowledge to prepare, we are full of confidence, each being ready. In the question and answer session,students scrambled to answer, the scene atmosphere is very warm.
每次搶到一次回答機(jī)會(huì),就能為自己的小組奪冠贏得更多可能,這也讓競(jìng)賽現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的比拼更加焦灼。對(duì)于一些有難度的數(shù)學(xué)題目來(lái)說(shuō),知識(shí)競(jìng)賽不僅是學(xué)生的解題思維的考驗(yàn),還是一場(chǎng)速度與心態(tài)的較量。
Each time you get a chance to answer, you can win more chances for your team, which makes the competition more anxious. For some difficult mathematical problems, knowledge competition is not only a test of students" thinking, butalso a contest of speed and mentality.
經(jīng)過(guò)一番激烈的智力角逐,本次知識(shí)競(jìng)賽最終圓滿(mǎn)結(jié)束。其中十年級(jí)有三個(gè)班分別獲得本次比賽的一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)、三等獎(jiǎng)。參賽同學(xué)自信張揚(yáng)、沉穩(wěn)睿智的表現(xiàn)給大家留下了深刻的印象,更展現(xiàn)出上海美達(dá)菲良好的“數(shù)學(xué)風(fēng)貌”。
After a fierce intellectual competition, theknowledge contest ended successfully.The students" confident, assertive, calm and wise performance left a deep impression, and also showed the good "mathematical style" of Shanghai MacDuffie.

比賽結(jié)束后,很多同學(xué)對(duì)競(jìng)賽問(wèn)答仍然意猶未盡,相互討論著同一個(gè)題目的不同思考方法,數(shù)學(xué)的魅力在這里一覽無(wú)余,不過(guò)剩下的興趣與熱情就留到賽后繼續(xù)探索吧。
After the competition, many studentswere still interested in the questions and answers. They discussed different ways ofthinking about the same question with each other. The charm of mathematics was evident here, but the rest of the interest and enthusiasm was left to explore after the competition.
這次的足球交流賽與數(shù)學(xué)日活動(dòng)只是上海美達(dá)菲學(xué)校多元校園文化的一個(gè)縮影。為充分挖掘?qū)W生的興趣愛(ài)好,發(fā)展每個(gè)人的獨(dú)特潛能,上海美達(dá)菲學(xué)校在遵循美達(dá)菲傳統(tǒng)活動(dòng)的基礎(chǔ)之上,還立足素質(zhì)教育與上海的本地特色,圍繞體育運(yùn)動(dòng)、創(chuàng)新科技、多樣文化等主題為學(xué)生量身打造了一系類(lèi)的特色活動(dòng)。
The soccer exchange and Math Day are just a microcosm of the diverse campus culture of Shanghai MacDuffie School. In orderto fully tap the interests of students and develop each person"s unique potential, Shanghai MacDuffie School not only follows the traditional activities of MacDuffie, butalso bases on the quality education and the local characteristics of Shanghai, and tailorates a series of special activities for students around the themes of sports,innovative technology, diverse culture and so on.
例如:暖冬義賣(mài)、雙旦晚會(huì)、新生營(yíng)地,以及每月的固定項(xiàng)目:遠(yuǎn)足、辯論、讀書(shū)分享、思維訓(xùn)練和志愿者活動(dòng)。讓每一朵青春之花都能找到自己合適的土壤進(jìn)而大展光彩。
For example: Warm winter charity Bazaar,Double New Year"s party,freshman camp, and monthly regular programs: hikes, debates, book sharing, mind training, and volunteer activities.Let each flower of youth can find their own suitable soil and then show their brilliance.
